Q - 1. How do I register for an account?
Answer:
- Fill in the required registration information using the "Registration" page accessible via the link in the left pane labeled "Register".
- A member of the CMS staff will contact you via email upon your account activation.
Q - 2. How do I login to access my account and the Bad Debt Information System search features?
Answer:
- Locate the link labeled "Login" from the left hand menu pane and click the link.
- Provide the "Login Name" and "Password" you provided during your online registration.
- Click the "Login" button to proceed with login verification.
- Upon verification of your login credentials you will be automatically forwarded to the main options page.
Q - 3. How do I change my account information?
Answer:
- Login to the site by providing your login credentials at the login page.
- Upon login verification you will be forwarded to the main options page.
- Select the "Account Details" option to load your account details page.
- Modify the details on the page and click the "Save" button on the screen.
Q - 4. How do I recover a lost password?
Answer:
- Locate the link labeled "Login" from the left hand menu pane and click the link.
- Click the link labeled "Forgot Password?" and provide the username you selected during your online registration.
- Provide the answer to your saved security question exactly as you provided it with spaces and capital case letters.
- Upon verification of the answer of the security question you provided an email will immediately be sent to the email account you provided at registration.
Q - 5. How do I change my password if I feel it has been compromised?
Answer:
- Locate the link labeled "Login" from the left hand menu pane and click the link.
- Provide the "Login Name" and "Password" you provided during your online registration.
- Click the "Login" button to proceed with login verification.
- Upon verification of your login credentials you will be automatically forwarded to main options page.
- Select the "Account Details" option to load you account details page.
- Scroll to the bottom section of the page for your password options.
- Supply your current password and your new password then re-type your new password to ensure accuracy.
- Click the "Change Password" button to submit the new password you provided.
- You new password will take effect the next time you login to the site.
Q - 6. How do I check my outstanding invoices for Personal Debt Information searches and Credit Guarantees made with CMS?
Answer:
- Locate the link labled "Login" from the left hand menu pane and click the link.
- Provide the "Login Name" and "Password" you provided during your online registration.
- Click the "Login" button to proceed with login verification.
- Upon verification of your login credentials you will be automatically forwarded to the main options page.
- Select the "Billing Information" option to load your outstanding invoice page.
- A list of your current invoices and their individual status flags will be loaded with the amount outstanding.
- A list of your credit guarantees will also be loaded according to date.(N/A)
Q - 7. How do I perform a search on a potential credit customer for a Personal Debt Information (PDI) report?
Answer:
- Locate the link labeled "Login" from the left hand menu pane and click the link.
- Provide the "Login Name" and "Password" you provided during your online registration.
- Click the "Login" button to proceed with login verification.
- Upon verification of your login credentials you will be automatically forwarded to main options page.
- Select the "Bad Debt Information System" option to load the bad debt information search page.
- Enter all the information required by the search page.
- Verify information then click the "Submit" button.
- A list of search results will be provided for you to select the record that best matches the information you provided.
- Click on the "View" button to the left of the record to view the complete details on that person.
- All information received on the person you selected will be displayed as well as the PDI score for that individual.
Q - 8. How do I print a copy of a Personal Debt Information after I have located a customer's record?
Answer:
- After you have located an individual in the Bad Debt Information System, as outlined in Q - 7, proceed by clicking the "Print PDI Report" button.
- A new window will load with the PDI report preview. (Please note that to print the report you need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.)
- Select the print button
from the PDI preview window and select "all pages" to print from the option page that was loaded.(click ok) - A new browser window will open that allows you to select one of your locally installed printers to use for printing from adobe acrobat reader.
- The new window also allows you to save a copy of the document in PDF format by clicking on the "Save" button in this new window.
- The saved file can be used as your soft copy of the PDI for reprinting later or for filing purposes.
Q - 9. How do I export the PDI report from my web browser to save the report in another format of my choice e.g. Microsoft Word or Excel?
Answer:
- After you have located an individual in the Bad Debt Iformation System, as outlined in Q - 7, proceed by clicking the "Print PDI Report" button.
- A new window will load with the PDI report preview. (Please note that to print the report you need Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.)
- Select the export button
from the PDI preview window and select "all pages" and the report format you want to export from the option page that loads. - A new browser window will open if you selected the PDF format option you will be asked to save the exported file to a location on your computer that you choose for viewing later.
- The exported file can be used as your soft copy of the PDI for reprinting later or for filing purposes.

- If you have a popup blocker installed or your internet browser then you must set it to accept popups form this website.

Q - 13. Why can't I login to the site even though I am using the correct credentials?
Answer:
- Your account may have been locked by a member of the CMS staff due to none payment or has yet to be activated for first time use.
